Normally you will need to attend a pre marital course in your home parish and provide a series of documents for the Church in Italy.
Your own parish priest will know what the documents are and will take you through the procedures accordingly.
He will then send the documents to his Bishop's office to be sealed and sent to Italy where we will then follow it through ensuring all is OK.
In Italy this form of marriage allows you to have your Religious Wedding Ceremony also legally recognized by the Italian civil authorities.

I have heard stories about many planners persuading against a religious ceremony because they think it is too difficult or too much work !
I love arranging our church weddings and feel that we have gained so much experience in the past to say we are leading experts in the field. I often say I could become a priest given the number of church ceremonies I have assisted with !
All it takes is experience, knowledge and lots of love and care.
